Halal Pastures COVID-19 Safety Precautions

Many of you have asked us about safety our precautions in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are taking all precautions required by the CDC as well other precautions we deem necessary for the safety of our staff and customers. Many of these precautions were already in place before the COVID-19 pandemic occurred as part of our Standard Operating Procedure:
1- Processing and shipping rooms are temperature controlled.
2. All processing and shipping staff are wearing protective gear including gloves, hair nets, white gowns, and masks.
3- We are disinfecting our processing and shipping facilities multiple times a day. For the shipping facility, we are splitting our staff into 2 rooms with no more than 2 people to a room. Our processing facility is normally cleaned and disinfected twice a day as this was the standard operating procedure, even before the COVID-19 pandemic happened.
4- For farm pickup, we are offering only curbside pickup. In short, we are requiring visitors to stay in their cars when they come to the farm. Visitors can call us to talk, place orders and payment over the phone. We will then pack your order and leave it by your car door. You can learn more about our curbside pickup here.
Our animals are doing great Alhamdilah and our farmers are healthy and safe as they are also practicing social distancing and wearing protective gear as well. The animals live in vast open spaces, Alhamdilah, which is how we have always liked it :-)
We will continue to follow CDC recommendations, wear protective gear and observe social distancing rules during this time.
