The chuck is a cut of beef and is part of the sub primal cut known as the chuck. It is a versatile piece of meat that can be cooked in a dutch oven or as a steak. We cut this meat as a steak, a rectangular cut, and about 1″ thick. It has a bone. The 3LBS option comes with 2-3 individual one pound bags.
**Some of the products in this batch comes from a new farmer we wanted to try. The beef were black angus, 100% grass-fed, hormone and antibiotic free and raised in New York. While not certified organic, these animals meet all of the requirements we mention below as well as antibiotic and hormone free isA.
Halal Pastures’ beef is hand slaughtered, certified Halal by HFSAA and USDA Certified Organic. Our cows are raised by small local farmers in New York. The cows live on 1,000 acres of organic pasture where they are rotationally grazed. They are raised ethically without any antibiotics, hormones or any other growth promoting drugs.

All weights are rough estimates +/- 0.25LBS. When we process our animals it is very hard to get an exact weight on each cut.
